Dr. Pasqualini becomes a Tenured Associate Professor of Industrial Bioengineering
June 1, 2020
Given his scientific track-record and in recognition of the recently awarded European Research Council Starting Grant (ERC Stg 2019), Dr. Francesco Pasqualini was named (early tenured) associate professors in Industrial Bioengineering by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR).
Prof. Pasqualini will join the (bio-)mechanics section of the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture at the University of Pavia, in Northern Italy. He will teach subjects in the Bachelor and Master programs of Biomedical Engineering with a focus on applications of cell mechanics and tissue engineering in modern pharmacology.
Dr. Pasqualini receives an ERC Starting Grant to develop Synthetic Matrix Biology
Oct 15, 2019
Dr. Francesco Pasqualini received 2M eur in funding from the European Research Council (ERC) to study the role of the extracellular matrix (ECM) in cardiac development and disease.
The project is entitled "Synthetic Matrix Biology (SYNBIO.ECM): Designer matrices to program healthy and diseased myocardial morphogenesis" and seeks to develop novel computational and experimental approaches to recapitulate the early phases of human heart development in the laboratory.
We are hiring for this project, so please reach out if you are interested.
